摘要:Most recent generations of computers allow for designing qualitatively quite different, new versatile systems for data acquisition and analysis in many scientific fields, kinesiology as well. These systems are created by means of new simulation technologies which generate signals for visualisation of the computer generated environment. This technology is known under the names of virtual reality (VR) or virtual environment (VE). Even today its research and scientific application potential has not been comprehended entirely, but it seems to be almost infinite. The purpose of this review paper is to excite the interest of kinesiologists, especially the Croatian ones, in the application of virtual reality technology. Therefore, several examples from the fields cognate and adjacent to kinesiology and singular efforts from sports practice already in usage, as well as a comprehensive list of reference literature dealing with the subject are presented here. The opportunities to explore human movement in simulated environment(s) are numerous and versatile due to the specific nature of kinesiology and the abundant kinesiological practice.
