摘要:Brazilian education, at all levels, according to the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education, has the purpose of rational development of the intellect, the formation of values, critical thinking, autonomous and reflexive, fulfilling to Philosophy this function. However, the current political scene has been marked by speeches detailing the human sciences and by the overvaluation of the exact sciences, natural sciences and languages. In the face of this clash, this article aims to highlight the potentiality of this discipline, in the official discourses directed at the (in)visibility of Philosophy, as a provocative exercise of thought and therefore essential for the (re)construction of a just society, noble, free and ethical. With a qualitative approach, we dialogued with philosophers and education theorists, who made it possible to unveil the think about the main issues that permeate the educational political context experienced by Philosophy in Brazil today.
