摘要：In an attempt to contribute to a complete rescue of constantian thought, the paper intends to explore Benjamin Constant's Philosophy of History by demonstrating the points of convergence between it and Immanuel Kant's thought. It is perceived that Constant uses the principle of equality as a way of interpreting History, while Kant uses freedom to do that. The ideal pursued by both, however, approaches a society that is both free and equal.
