No filme Narradores de Javé, de Eliane Caffé (2004), essa foi a condição irremediável posta aos moradores de Javé, um povoado situado numa região de vale no Nordeste brasileiro, destinado a desaparecer devido à inundação que viria a ser causada pela construção de uma hidroelétrica. A situação logo provocou alvoroço. Primeiro para achar quem a tal história escrevesse, depois para achar o que escrever. Acharam. Pedro Biá foi incumbido de “colocar as letras no papel” sobre o lugar o qual, segundo manifestação da maioria dos residentes, “história grande de valor é o que (ali) não falta(va)” (Caffé, 2004).
其他摘要：The article discusses the place of architecture as a cultural patrimony between its materiality and the fluidity of the immaterial relations constructed with them from the different social groups. These bonds, built by people in daily life and rooted in traditions, allow us to observe new ways of looking at built heritage. As a result of the experiences accumulated over two years of extensive field research throughout Alagoas, in the Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage of Alagoas Project, the central question of the article is how these other perspectives can stimulate new practices in the heritage discussion.
