摘要：The purpose of this research is the assessment of the impact of the transport infrastructure on the social-and-economic development of the region. The authors carried out the analysis of the existing approaches to the assessment of the role of the transport component for the socioeconomic development. The assessment technique including principles, the system of factors and indicators, the algorithm and methods of the assessment of the transport infrastructure impact on the socio-economic development of the region is offered. According to the carried-out analysis, it is proved that the availability of the developed transport infrastructure is linked with the level of development of the region, in particular with Gross Regional Product and the consolidated regional budget revenues. The results of the research can be used by regional authorities for the justification of the strategic directions of socio-economic development of the region, when developing target programmes, etc.
