摘要:Within the context of a perceived central role for Higher Educations Institutions (HEIs) in facilitating sustainable development, this paper describes the development of a bespoke calculator designed to evaluate the scale and components of the carbon footprint of field work activities. How students might actively engage with this tool during and after field courses is discussed along with two completed footprint examples — one to a UK-based destination and the other to Scandinavia. These examples highlight the potential of the calculator for ESD.
