摘要：A estrutura da narrativa da obra As mil e uma noites ilustra com precisão o aforismo lacaniano “Só o amor pode fazer o gozo condescender ao desejo”. O presente artigo tematiza os embates entre amor e gozo, e entre amor e morte, como as faces mais pregnantes do conflito inerente a todo sujeito entre o imaginário e o real. É o simbólico que permite paliar os efeitos devastadores desse conflito, o que permite ler em As mil e uma noites um dispositivo simbólico semelhante ao de uma análise.
其他摘要：The narrative structure of One thousand and one nights perfectly illustrates the Lacanian aphorism “Only love allows jouissance to condescend to desire”. This article thematizes the clashes between love and jouissance, and also between love and death, as the most significant facets of the inherent conflict between the imaginary and the real in every subject. It is the symbolic which allows for mitigating the devastating effects of that conflict, enabling the reading of One thousand and one nights as a symbolic device akin to the process of analysis.
