摘要：Automatic text summarization system generatessummaries or abstract of large documents. Many techniqueshave been developed for summarization of text in variouslanguages. One of the most commonly used statisticalmethods is graph theoretic approach. The sentences arerepresented as nodes and the relation is represented as edges.The cardinality of a graph shows the importance of sentences.The graph based algorithm is sufficient for agglutinativelanguage like Malayalam. The algorithms are evaluated onMalayalam news articles and performances are comparedusing precision, recall and f-measures.
