摘要:The effect of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (2-MBI) on the corrosion of Cu-30Ni alloy in NaCl 3% solution polluted by sulphide ions was studied by weight loss measurements, potentiodynamic polarization and impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. It is concludes that the presence of sulphide ions in NaCl 3% accelerates the corrosion of Cu-30Ni alloy. To protect the Cu-30Ni alloy structure from the corrosion in presence of sulphide as pollutants, the anticorrosion effect of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole was examined. The obtained results show that 2-MBI acts as a good mixed-type inhibitor retarding the anodic and cathodic reactions. The inhibitory efficiency determined by the electrochemical measurements increases with immersion time.
