摘要：This paper presents the latest techniques developed in image processing that canbe applied for wastewater quality detection and monitoring. The availabletechniques are analyzed under their characterization, advancements and benefitsin the assessment of the levels of wastewater contamination and identifying thecontaminants. It also outlines the primary global wastewater quality parametersthat need to be controlled and monitored for any wastewater produced as aresult of human activities.
