摘要：The use of Filipino language in tourism literature in the City of Sorsogon was identified. The
researcher used descriptive-developmental design in collecting data needed in the study. Questionaire and
formal interview were used with 77 respondents. In getting respondents from the office of Philippine
Information Agency and Department of Tourism, the researcher preferred purposive sampling. On the other
hand, in selecting respondents from the community, Local Government Unit and tourists’, random sampling
was utilized. The data gathered were analized, and given interpretation with the help of appropriate
statistics. It was found out that tourism literature written in Filipino is important. Many respondents said
that there is no such literature in Filipino in the city because many of the said literature were written in
English. The main contribution of tourism in improving the Filipino language is using it in any reading
material about tourism. Many will learn from it because it is easy to understand. The magazine which was
made must be accustomed. It is recommended to use Filipino in tourism for its development. Create more
reading materials related to this using our language. Let the community be aware of such material related
to tourism constructed in Filipino. The government officials should give attentionto the continuous use of
our language in tourism. Other researchers must conduct study related to this.
