摘要:The purpose of this research was to examine the effect
of a differentiated Turkish teaching program designed
using the Parallel Curriculum Model on the
creative writing of gifted and talented students. In the
research, a unique educational program was developed
by differentiating the Turkish lesson "Health
and Environment" with the parallel curriculum. The
study was conducted in Istanbul with 26 gifted and
talented (13 experimental and 13 control group) students
attending 4th grade in a private school that offered
education for gifted and talented students. The
Creative Writing Scale was administered to experimental
and control groups to collect data. In the experimental
group, while the Turkish teaching program
differentiated according to the parallel curriculum
program, the control group students continued
their traditional course of study with their teachers.
Data was subjected to Mann Whitney U statistical
analysis with non-parametric statistical techniques.
The post test results showed that the experimental
group had significantly higher scores than did the
control group.
