摘要:In this paper, we examine the influence of ergonomics and workplace design on organizationalperformance in WAEC, Lagos with the entire workforce of the organization making up the study population. Byusing a descriptive survey design, a questionnaire was designed and administered on all 83 staff of theorganization. Chi-square(X2) data analysis shows that organizational culture and structure, desk heights inrelation to monitors and key boards, poor seating, lighting, workflow, etc., are important workplace designfactors that can influence performance. Results suggest that good ergonomics and workplace design practicescan significantly improve profitability of WAEC, Lagos. Furthermore, well designed workstations significantlyrelate to organizational performance in WAEC. The authors recommend that organizations should pay moreattention to their work environment as it impacts on their overall performance.
