摘要:In a project, there are problems often occur caused by design changes during construction that affects the
additional work. As the development of the era, innovations emerge in every field, especially in a planning method,
which is Building Information Modelling (BIM). Therefore, this study conducts the study of effectiveness in using the
Building Information Modelling in the planning phase in an industrial building. The research is processed firstly by
collecting data related to the construction projects of factory industry including man-hour data, investment value,
human resources requirements, time planning, number of design drawings, and contract value. The results of this study
are BIM method can complete the work shorter with fewer HR needs compared to the conventional method. The use of
BIM method can reduce the potential of additional works by1.24%-1,68% of the contract value due to design
adjustments. However, the investment in applying BIM method is higher than the conventional method.
