标题：Influence of Socio-economic and Demographic Factors on Stress Perception and Attitude towards Self and Job: A Study with Reference to Women Health Care Professionals
摘要：This study was aimed to determine the association between socio-economic status of health careprofessionals with their stress perception and attitude towards self and job. The concept of socio-economic anddemographic factors is infrequently studied but these are very important factors in determining the employee’squality of life. An extensive survey was conducted among 300 nursing professionals working in various hospitals inCentral Kerala, India. The nurses were administered with close end questionnaire using convenience samplingmethod. The simple percentage analysis and chi-square analysis were used in this study. Primarily the simplepercentage analysis depicted age group of nurses, academic background, marital status, earning capacity, number ofmembers in family, type of family, and their experience of stress. Chi- square analysis results had found anassociation between monthly income, marital status, number of earning members, and age with the attitude ofnurses towards self and job. The result discloses the existence of significant relationship between, number ofdependents, type of family and the number of children with the perception of stress among nurses.
