摘要:The purpose of this paper is to focus on the potential role and use of social media to influence sportpromotion. Social media have profoundly impacted the delivery and consumption of sport. The opportunitiesand challenges inherent to social media practices in sport has catalyzed academic research in this area.Social media is changing the nature and speed of sport promotion. The objective of this study was todetermine if a social media site is a useful method of communicating sports promotion. The survey wasconducted in ten gyms in Campania Region during the period from January 2018 to July 2018.The resultssuggest that social media are tools for sport promotion. The survey shows that there are factors thatinfluence the relationship between social media and sport. Given this, future efforts by sports scientistsshould be directed towards establishing and promoting a strong social media presence.
