摘要:Introduction. The accelerated process of market evolution, technological change,
increased competition and consumer demands, become relevant aspects for service
companies, who must create new strategies that allow them to survive in the market.
Objective. Analyze business cooperation as a strategy to strengthen the competitiveness
of companies in the tourism sector of Ruta Mutis in the department of Tolima. Materials
and methods. The methodology of Social Network Analysis (SNA) was used with data
that was obtained from an information collection instrument when applying
convenience sampling and snowball. Results Among the results obtained, it was
identified that the network that presented the best conditions was the Mariquita
network, by demonstrating a high percentage of network density and the highest level
of cohesive groups. Conclusion. The analysis of the network at the zone level, showed a
very low cohesion and interrelation between the Honda and Mariquita businessmen,
despite the similarity in the offer of services and geographical proximity. Therefore,
given the low level of conditions for collaborative work in the study area of the
department of Tolima, it is advisable to develop strategies that enhance cooperation to
improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector in the area.
