摘要：In Latin America, some countries despite having abundant natural resources have not
achieved significant increases in the welfare of their population, so this study
conducted an econometric validation of the incidence of innovation in human
development in this region including other variables of control, for the period between
2012 and 2017; for this purpose the panel data technique was used, where the results
obtained showed that democracy, gross capital formation and intellectual property
have a positive relationship with the human development index, while the population
showed a negative relationship with the development for the countries analyzed,
finally corruption was not significant in the estimated model.
