摘要:Bauxite mining being an impermanent activity, at most times, leaves long term negative
impact on the environment. Most of bauxite mining companies have well established biodiversity
management plans, wherein the existing biome is mapped, operational and external impacts on
biodiversity are assessed and opportunities to mitigate impacts or promote increased biodiversity are
evaluated. Here in this study, we have selected some bauxite mining areas near the Lamba village in
Taluka Kalyanpur, District Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat for assessment of ecology and biodiversity.
