摘要:This study mainly focuses on measuring equity in the distribution of educational opportunity in Ugandaconsidering the achievements of the implementation of Universal Primary Education. The study used the Ginicoefficient to measure equity in the distribution of educational opportunity in Uganda according to age group,gender, and location. The presentation used data on educational enrolment and attainment in Uganda in 2016collected by the World Bank. In the article, the concepts of equity and equality are defined, various measures ofequity are identified and the Gini coefficient is applied to measure the magnitude of inequality for the selecteddataset. The article ends by presenting and discussing the findings as well as evaluating and justifying the typeof method used.
