摘要:In this paper, the optical constants and thickness of thin lead titanate (PbTiO3)films are investigated. The studied films are grown by pulsed laser depositionon MgO substrate. The interference modulated transmission spectra T() atnormal incidence were obtained in the spectral region from 300 nm up to 1000nm. The presented films have been characterized using the extremes of theinterference fringes in accordance with the straightforward method proposed bySwanepoel which is applied to derive the real and imaginary parts of thecomplex index of refraction and also the film thickness. We have thereforedetermined the dispersion of the real part of the refractive index, the absorptionand extinction coefficients. Furthermore, the energy band gap has beendetermined from the absorption coefficient values using the direct transitionmodel proposed by Tauc.
