  • 摘要:This paper reports investigation of aqueous solutions contaminated with rosuvastatin (ROS) drug by indirect electro-oxidation method: Electro-Fenton (EF). Accordingly, the EF experiments were performed using an undivided electrolytic cell with Pt anode, carbon felt cathode and Fe3+ as catalyst. Different variables, including applied current and catalyst concentration were evaluated to study the kinetics of oxidative degradation of ROS. The evolution of the concentration of ROS was followed by High performance liquid chromatography HPLC. The decay kinetics of ROS followed pseudo-first order reaction. An optimum current of 300 mA and a catalyst (Fe3+) concentration of 0.2mM were found to be optimal for an effective degradation. The mineralization efficiency has been investigated in term of chemical oxygen demand (COD) abatement. A high degree of mineralization (>91%) is obtained at 6 h of treatment. Several parameters were selected: current applied, nature and concentration of catalyst, pH, and electrolyte support.
