摘要:Oueds Fez and Sebou northeast of the city the city of Fez are affected by different sourcesof pollution, likely to cause human waterborne diseases. This work aims -a priori- at theidentification of geographical relationship between the pollution of surface waters and thedistribution of the water-related incidence of Typhoid Fever infection, by examining therisk factors influencing them. Based on this analysis, we have spatially mapped the variousparameters followed by statistical treatment. The spatial mapping of the incidence ofTyphoid Fever infection, as well as physico-chemical and bacteriological analysis of thedifferent sites studied during the year 2016, compared to the Moroccan standard of surfacewater quality, show that the District with the highest incidence rate of this disease is AINKADOUS, which represented more than 71% in 2016. According to this geographicdistribution, this neighborhood is close to one of the most polluted sites water courses ofthe East-north of the city. Indeed, the quality results prove that they are contaminated bythe majority of surface water quality indicators used, namely Electrical Conductivity, turbidity, Biological Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand, total phosphorus, nitrates, ammonium and high microbial presence by fecal coliforms. This study revealedthe need for constant monitoring in places where environmental degradation is caused bythe not regulated sewage discharges coming from the city of Fez. This can have adverseeffects on the health of the population and the aquatic life of Oued Sebou.
