  • 摘要:The heavy metals pose a serious water pollution problem especially contamination ofportable groundwater with heavy metals that cause health hazards also itsconcentration is high in industrial and sewage wastewater. The main focus of thisstudy to remove heavy metal chromium from contaminated water by using synthesizedIron Oxide Nanoadsorbent (ION). The batch adsorption study was conducted for theremoval of chromium along with different parametric studies such Initial concentrationof chromium metals, adsorbent dose, pH, contact time and temperature. The employedION gives positive results, the adsorption of chromium is very rapid and most offixation occurs at first 30 minutes. The adsorbent was characterized by before and aftertreatment of Chromium contaminated water, such as SEM-EDS, XRD and FTIR. Theadsorption kinetics obeys second order kinetic. The result suggests that ION can bebeneficial in chromium removal from the contaminated water.
