摘要:The effectiveness of Strategic Intervention Material (SIM) in writing in Filipino was determined in this study. This supports the Republic Act 10533 section 10.3 which promotes the development and reproduction of instructional materials. The design of the study are Descriptive and quasiexperimental utilizing the Solomon’s Four Group Design.The respondents were 100 students in Grade 7 including the experimental and controlled group and 25 teachers teaching Filipino subject.The developed SIM was based on the theory of multiple intelligences and integrative approach. The pre-test of experimental and controlled group was compared. The experimental group utilized the SIM, then a posttest was conducted to both groups and the results were again compared. The finding shows that the mean score of pre-test of experimental and controlled group are almost the same. There was a significant difference between the pre and post test of both group. The mean score of post-test of two controlled groups and two experimental groups shows that there was no significant difference. The post-test mean score of experimental group is higher than the post-test mean score of controlled group. There was no significant difference in the post test of four groups. Meanwhile, the level of effectiveness of the developed SIM is very much effective based on the evaluation of teacher-respondents making it acceptable as instructional material in developing the writing skills of students in Filipino subject.
