摘要：El Ateneo Científico, Artístico y Literario de Madrid fue uno de los centros neurálgicos de la cultura española durante el siglo XIX. La actividad musical de este centro ha sido escasamente estudiada hasta el momento y, en ocasiones, se repiten tópicos y datos erróneos sobre la misma. En el presente artículo, analizamos la presencia de la música en dicho organismo durante el último tercio del siglo XIX, especialmente entre 1878 y 1907, etapa en la que este arte adquiere identidad propia y protagonismo relevante en su actividad cultural. Asimismo, se presentan los antecedentes del período citado y su actividad musical desde 1820.
其他摘要：The Ateneo Científico, Artístico y Literario of Madrid was one of the most important Spanish cultural institutions of the nineteenth century. So far, the musical activity of the Ateneo has been barely researched. The aim of this article is to study the presence of Music in the Ateneo during the last thirty years of the nineteenth century, paying attention to the period 1878-1907 in which Music acquired special importance in this institution. The study also documents the Ateneo’s earlier musical activity, from 1820.
