摘要：The idea of development is considered a vital strategy to the growth of any national economy. The banking system has been considered as the main sector that contributes significantly to the development of economy and hence the efficiency of commercial banks, gains significance. This study proposes to examine the efficiency of Private and Public Sector Banks in Kenya. It was found that the sample Kenyan commercial banks recorded volatility of variables during the study period. But the Public Sector Banks displayed better efficiency scores than the Private Sector Banks during the study period.
