  • 摘要:Talent management is a concept increasingly on the minds of managers and practitioners, but still remain neither a strategic or operational priority in many organisations. The main objective of this research was to investigate the application of talent management practices in South African local government institutions (N=578). The results showed that talent management practices are poorly applied in the local government institutions. Significant gaps exist between the current applications versus the importance of talent management practices. Significant differences exist between the employee perceptions of talent management practices based on their demographic characteristics. Recommendations are made.
