摘要:The present article sought to reflect on the crisis intervention carried out with 15 people affected by emergencies, which were attended by the Emergency Relief of a Company of Firemen of Santa Catarina. The intervention was performed in a single moment with each affected so as to contemplate five steps: 1) establishment of the contact; 2) problem analysis; 3) search for possible solutions; 4) guidance for carrying out concrete actions; and 5) verification of progress. These interventions were carried out from the arrival at the place of the occurrence to the hospital, these being after the first aid of the military firefighters. It was observed that those affected expressed anxiety and stress behaviors, which were minimized after the crisis intervention. It was verified that this practice contributed to the mobilization of the personal resources of those affected to confront the emergency. It is suggested its use in emergency and emergency institutions..
