摘要：O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal estimular aargumentação de alunos do ensino médio a respeito de questões sóciocientíficasrelacionadas ao tema “biocombustíveis”. Para tanto, um caso foielaborado e os estudantes foram incentivados a solucioná-lo (Método deEstudo de Caso) e a defenderem o seu posicionamento durante um JúriQuímico. O Método de Estudo de Caso empregado nessa pesquisa se tratade uma metodologia didática, que consiste no uso de narrativas sobreindivíduos enfrentando decisões ou dilemas. Os alunos deveriam seposicionar, a favor ou contra, à instalação de uma fábrica de biodiesel numadeterminada região, e argumentar em defesa de seus posicionamentos.Para a análise da argumentação foi utilizado como referencial teórico oPadrão de Argumentação de Toulmin. Os resultados obtidos com a pesquisasugerem que o Estudo de Caso e o Júri Químico são estratégias eficientesem fomentar as habilidades argumentativas dos alunos, além de favorecer aaprendizagem do conteúdo científico.
其他摘要：The main objective of this study was to stimulate high schoolstudents argumentation on socio-scientific issues related to the theme"biofuels". For this purpose, a case was prepared and students wereencouraged to solve it (Case Study Method) and defend their positionduring a Chemical Jury. The Case Study Method used in this research it is ateaching methodology, which consists in narratives about individuals facingdecisions or dilemmas. Students should position themselves for or againstthe installation of a biodiesel plant in a given region, and argue in defenseof their positions. In order to analyze the argument, a theoretical reference“the Toulmin Argument Pattern” was used. The given results of the surveysuggest that the Case Study and the Chemical Jury are effective strategiesto foment the argumentative skills of the students, besides encouraging thescientific content learning.
