摘要:The Tadla Basin — situated in the center of Morocco— is an important agricultural area, and the demandfor groundwater is greatly increasing. Groundwaterprovides the majority of freshwater supply for basin citiesand is derived from a multi-layered aquifer system. Thisaquifer system was the subject of an earlier project undertakenby the IAEA, CNESTEN and Moroccan water authority.Important relationships between aquifer layers andlocations of recharge and discharge were revealed duringthis study. Supplementary spatial analyses of isotopes inthe Turonian, Eocene, and Quaternary aquifers of the TadlaBasin were subsequently used to develop visual means ofidentifying hydrological trends.
