摘要:While research constructs such as organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB),employee perception of equity (EPE), organisational commitment (OC) andemployee intention to stay (ITS) have been researched extensively in developedcountries, research on these constructs remains scant in developing countries. Smalland medium enterprises (SMEs) are the stronghold of economies and societiesworldwide. In Zimbabwe, as in any other country, there is a realisation that SMEsare innovative, flexible and require low startup capital. This study attempted toinvestigate the influence of OCB, EPE and OC on ITS in Zimbabwe’s SME sector.Structured questionnaires were distributed to SMEs in five major cities. Data werecollected from SME employees who do not occupy managerial positions. Aquantitative method using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equationmodelling was employed to test the relationships among the five hypotheses. Theresults showed support for the five proposed hypotheses. Implications and futureresearch directions of the study are provided..
