摘要:En la Argentina, existen una infinidad de instituciones que se dedican al tratamiento de adictos a sustancias psicoactivas. Desde el Estado, sin embargo, se siguen básicamente dos estrategias en la actualidad: a) atención primaria en hospitales públicos y en el Centro Nacional de Reeducación Social (CENARESO) y b) a través de la Secretaría de Programación para la Prevención de La Drogadicción y la Lucha contra el Narcotráfico (SEDRONAR) donde se ofrecen becas para tratamientos ambulatorios y residenciales en instituciones especializadas. Sin embargo, esas estrategias responden a concepciones diferentes del fenómeno adictivo y no poseen un marco coherente de funcionamiento. En este texto, presentamos una historia interpretativa que aporte elementos para la comprensión de los condicionantes históricos, institucionales y cognitivos que llevaron a esta configuración.

However, these strategies show different conceptions of the addictive phenomenon and do not show a coherent working framework. In this paper we present an interpretative history to provide elements for understanding the historical, institutional and cognitive factors that led to this configuration.
