摘要：En los últimos años ha tenido un importante auge en el mundo el turismo rural. La demanda del mercado turístico en la actualidad, manifiesta una tendencia creciente de nuevas experiencias en respuesta a expectativas de ocio y esparcimiento. Hoy en día se presente una combinación de vacaciones, turismo y conocimiento; el turista muestra una actitud activa y participativa, aunque es creciente la preocupación sobre el deterioro de las condiciones de vida de las personas que habitan los espacios rurales, lo cual ha generado múltiples propuestas de estrategias para promover su “desarrollo”. El objetivo de la investigación, es la elaboración de Estrategias de Turismo Rural que brinde soporte para la realización de proyectos turísticos que beneficien otras actividades económicas, entre tres localidades situadas en la Ribera del Rio Hondo: la Unión, Javier Rojo Gómez y Álvaro Obregón Viejo, Quintana Roo. Se concluye que las comunidades no dependan de una única actividad económica, en la medida en que se fortalezcan otras actividades como el turismo, la ganadería y la agricultura, sin duda, se lograran mayores oportunidades para el fortalecimiento de la economía de la región.

The demand of the tourist market at present, shows an increasing tendency of new experiences in response to expectations of leisure and recreation. Nowadays there is a combination of holidays, tourism and knowledge; the tourist shows an active and participative attitude, although there is growing concern about the deterioration of the living conditions of the people who inhabit the rural spaces, which has generated multiple proposals of strategies to promote their "development". The objective of the research is the development of Rural Tourism Strategies that provide support for the realization of tourism projects that benefit other economic activities, between three locations located in the Ribera del Rio Hondo: the Union, Javier Rojo Gómez and Álvaro Obregón Viejo, Quintana Roo. It is concluded that the communities do not depend on a single economic activity, to the extent that other activities such as tourism, livestock and agriculture are strengthened, without a doubt, greater opportunities will be achieved for the strengthening of the economy of the region.
