摘要:This article looks at some aspects and challenges related to intangible Sámi cultural heritage; in particular, beliefs and perceptions associated with traditional Sámi sacred mountains. We find the mountains all across the Sámi traditional settlement area. The article’s focus is on sacred mountains that occur in groups in the landscape, with names that reflect family relations, different gender, and age. The examples are from both the South Sámi, the Lule Sámi, and the North Sámi area.
