摘要：Este estudo visa investigar a existência de uma possível interface entre atividades de tradução na sala de L2 e as funções da hipótese da produção de Swain. Para fundamentarmos teoricamente esta investigação, recorremos aos estudos de Swain (1985, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2000a, 2000b) e a outros estudos referentes à hipótese da produção. A metodologia previu a condução de um experimento prático com uma atividade de tradução para a geração de dados. Participaram da pesquisa oito estudantes de graduação em Letras-Inglês, os quais fizeram uma atividade em dupla, gravada em áudio. Os resultados comprovam que as funções ocorrem de forma entrelaçadas e justapostas dentro dos processos cognitivos exigidos pela referida tarefa.
其他摘要：The present study aims to investigate the existence of an interface between translation activities in L2 classroom and the functions of Swain’s output hypothesis. To theoretically support this research, we considered the studies from Swain (1985, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2000a, 2000b), and other studies related to output hypothesis. The methodology provided the conduction of a practical experiment with a translation activity, where participants were eight undergraduate students, in which they made an activity in pairs, and it was audio recorded. In conclusion, we observed if during the translation activity, the participants noted gaps, formulated hypotheses and if they reflected metalinguistically about the L2. The results show that the functions occur interwoven, in a juxtaposed manner within the cognitive processes required by the task.
