摘要：O presente trabalho busca refletir sobre formação de professores de arte a partir dos dados de uma realidade: Licenciaturas de Música e Artes Visuais da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa — PR, implantadas em 2003. A pesquisa foi realizada com 70 acadêmicos dos dois cursos, enfocando três questões em questionário aberto: expectativas em relação ao curso, experiência e pré-formação em arte e perspectivas de atuação docente. Os fundamentos metodológicos partem da ideia de que o universal — políticas para a formação docente, papel e situação dos professores na sociedade capitalista, e o singular — manifestações dos licenciandos sobre suas expectativas e pré-formação, são aspectos de uma mesma realidade complexa e contraditória que deve ser investigada em sua dialeticidade.
关键词：Formação de professores; Políticas educacionais; Ensino de arte Reflections on the teachers’ training: expectations and previous formation of music and visual arts’ teachers Abstract This work searches for a reflection on the arts teachers’ formation from a specific reality: the Bachelor Courses of Music and Visual Arts from the Ponta Grossa University in Paraná State; implemented in 2003. The research was accomplished in 2005 — 2006 with 70 academics from both courses focusing three open questions: expectations on the course; background knowledge and previous training in arts and the perspectives on the teachers’ practice. The methodological concepts came up from the idea that the universal — politics to the teachers’ training; the role and the context of the teachers into the capitalist society; and the singular — the bachelors’ manifestations about their expectations and previous formation are compounds of the same complex and contradictory reality which should be investigated in its dialecticism.
