摘要：The topics of urban insecurity have advanced as a central part of local electoral strategies in recent years. The objective of this paper is to analyze the political strategies in dispute based on the problem of urban crime. The approach is based on the analysis of campaign material (graphic, audiovisual, newspapers, debates) of the election of the City of Buenos Aires Head of Government (Argentina) in 2007. The results show how the majority of political spaces incorporated the security and defined their electoral positions based on this topic.
