摘要：Dopo una breve analisi dei primi temi di Jervolino, il saggio si concentra sulla valenza etica della traduzione, valenza che, alla sequela di Ricœur, può costituire un ethos comune di cui l’Europa plurale ha bisogno. I traduttori assumono la funzione di mediatori culturali, in senso autentico ed originario, tali da abitare presso l’altra lingua, come ospiti invitati, adeguando il più possibile le risorse dell’una e dell’altra terminologia. “L’ospitalità linguistica” rappresenta sul piano culturale e spirituale tale ethos della traduzione. Da qui anche una rilettura del mito di Babele.
其他摘要：After a brief analysis of the early themes of Jervolino, the essay analyzes the ethical value of translation, a value that, following Ricoeur, can constitute a common ethos that plural Europe needs. The translators assume the function of cultural mediators, in an authentic and original sense, so as to live in the other language, as invited guests, adapting as much as possible the resources of one and the other terminology. “Linguistic hospitality” represents this ethos of translation on the cultural and spiritual level. From here also a re-interpretation of the myth of Babel.
