摘要：Color y arquitectura, en tanto es ésta una experiencia material, están ligados desde los orígenes de la práctica constructiva. Cada civilización ha expresado en sus edificios mensajes sin letra pero con voz, coadyuvando a su entendimiento la fuerza y el simbolismo del color. Si bien dicho lenguaje se mantiene, los usos dados al cromatismo en la reciente arquitectura se adaptan al devenir de esta época, muchos de cuyos valores diferen de los formulados desde la antigüedad. Este texto trata de aportar algo de luz al empleo vigente del color en la arquitectura internacional, recorriendo el arco iris al tiempo que desgranando algunos ejemplos que ilustran los propósitos pretendidos y observando qué mensajes son los que los maestros del siglo XXI quieren proyectar en sus trabajos cuando recurren en ellos al uso, masivo y protagonista, de un tono determinado. Si bien ciertos condicionantes observables (exclusividad, distinción, lujo..) obligan a volver la vista hacia tiempos pasados, otros aspectos (carácter icónico del edificio, respeto y mimetización con el medio natural, desparpajo y desenfado..) hablan el idioma del nuevo milenio y resultan contundentes expresiones plásticas devarios de los rasgos de personalidad de las sociedades desarrolladas en que estas creaciones florecen.
其他摘要：Colour and architecture are linked from the origins of constructive practice. Each civilization has expressed messages –without words but with a voice– in their buildings, helping to understand them the strength and the symbolism of colour. This use is maintained in the recent architecture so the uses of colours have to adapt to these days, many of whose values differ from those expressed since ancient times through the history of art. Thus, this text tries to provide some light at the current usage of colour in the international architecture, reeling off some of the examples that illustrate the intended purposes and noting, in conclusion, which are the messages that the XXI century masters want to project in their work when they rely on the use of a given pitch. While certain factors observable in these cases (exclusivity, distinction, luxury...) require to look back into the past, other aspects (iconic character of the building, respect and camoufage with the natural, carefree...) speak the language of the new millennium and are strong expressions of many of the personality traits of developed societies in which these constructions are created.
