摘要:The article presents the process of translation and validation of a tool useful for detecting the boundary spanner orientations of all those figures operating along organizational boundaries. These are functions and roles required by the current social complexity that impose organizations to interact along and beyond their own organizational boundaries. The tool developed on the base of a process of operationalization of the theoretical model of Wreets and Sandmann by a group of American scholars2 was translated and tested in the Italian context with the participation of 1101 teachers-tutors of the secondary school involved in the School Work-Alternation programs. The paper provides the explanation of the theoretical constructs and the process of development and testing of the instrument. At the end practical implications related to that role are outlined.
