摘要:Abstract: The writing of this article aims to assess the local or regional cultural values that can improve the quality of schools. Researchers are key instruments in gathering data by attending to the field. This research is a descriptive qualitative approach by observing, interviewing and documenting. The data analysis technique of this study used the Miles and Huberman models by reducing, presenting, and verifying the data found. The results of the research found in the field are: planning carried out to improve the quality of education through the development of local culture is by setting goals and analyzing the potential of the area so that it can determine the program to be implemented, namely Lampa Gentlemen in the form of pangereng panganteng and enrichment of regional languages. The organizing stage includes the selection of human resources, namely regional language teachers and infrastructure that supports the program, the Madura language laboratory. Furthermore, the implementation of the Panganger Panganger Program is regulated by dividing time with various classes at all levels. While the use of Madura language all day every Tuesday. Abstrak : Penulisan artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengakaji nilai-nilai budaya lokal atau daerah yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. Peneliti merupakan instrumen kunci dalam mengumpulkan data dengan hadir ke lapangan. Penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan mereduksi, menyajikan, dan melakukan verifikasi dari data yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan di lapangan adalah: perencanaan yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui pengembangan budaya lokal adalah dengan menetapkan tujuan dan menganalisa potensi daerah sehingga dapat menetapkan program yang akan diimplementasikan yaitu Parenteng Lampa berupa pangereng pangantan dan pengayaan bahasa daerah. Tahap pengorganisasian meliputi pemilihan SDM yaitu guru bahasa daerah dan sarana prasarana yang menunjang program adalah laboratorium bahasa Madura. Selanjutnya pelaksanaan program pangereng pangantan diatur dengan membagi waktu dengan berbagai kelas di semua tingkatan. Sedangkan penggunaan bahasa Madura seharian penuh setiap hari selasa. Dimana pada hari selasa bel sekolah juga berbahasa Madura. Tahap terakhir, yaitu evaluasi setiap akhir semester untuk penyempurnaan program guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMPN 1 Gapura. Kata Kunci : Manajemen peningkatan mutu, mutu pendidikan, pengembangan budaya lokal.
