  • 摘要:Abstract: The purpose study of this is to find: (1) visionary the role of the principal; (2) the principal's strategy; (3) school principal innovations; (4) supporting factors of the principal; (5) inhibiting factors of school principals; and (6) efforts to overcome the inhibiting factors of school principals as leaders of change quality of in improving the education. The case study was chosen because SD Negeri Pandanarum Mojokerto District experienced significant changes over the past four years and became a reference school. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Checking data using triangulation and perseverance observation. The conclusions of : (1) the visionary principa role of the l is indicated by the improvement of the curriculum, increasing discipline, and being the driving force / policy maker; (2) head strategy, namely by identifying cases, conducting interviews, creating good relations, and creating an atmosphere towards student awareness; (3) principal innovation, namely with relative advantages and compatibility; (4) Factors supporting school principals come from internal (leadership of school principals and existing infrastructure) and external (government); (5) Obstacles from internal parties, namely lack of: teacher education, community understanding, and teacher shortages; and (6) the principal's efforts to form a curriculum development team, maximize managerial, change management and increase the role of the community.
