摘要：O presente estudo tem por objetivo abordar algumas características e concepções sobre os consórcios intermunicipais de saúde (CIS), bem como sua relação como ferramenta de gestão e desenvolvimento regional para solucionar os problemas de saúde local, refletindo na melhoria da qualidade de vida da população. Sendo assim, observou-se que, os CIS são importantes instrumentos que ampliam e aperfeiçoam á oferta dos serviços de saúde, aonde podemos observar uma grande evolução desta ferramenta desde os anos 70.
其他摘要：The present study has the objective of approaching some characteristics and conceptions about the intermunicipal health consortia, as well as its relationship as a management tool and regional development to solve the local health problems, reflecting in the improvement of the quality of life of the population. Thus, it has been observed that CIS are important instruments that expand and improve the supply of health services, where we can observe a great evolution of this tool since the 1970s.
