  • 摘要:The National Theater founded by King Stanis!aw August in 1765, at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, performed numerous novelties in its repertoire. From the beginning of the 1790s, W. Bogus!awski – three times manager, actor and director of the public theater in Warsaw, presents dramas on exotic subjects. Their initial aesthetic-sensational function changes after the last partition of Poland in 1795. In the years 1799-1814, Bogus!awski presents dramas that show the struggle of the Inca with Spanish invaders as a metaphor of the then-existing situation of Poles oppressed by Russia, Prussia and Austria.
