摘要：O artigo é uma transcrição da palestra proferida na 1ª Bienal Nacional de Imagens na Ciência, Arte, Tecnologia, Educação e Cultura, e traz uma reflexão sobre imagens e possibilidades de leituras baseada em duas pessoas que se detiveram no estudo das mesmas: o filósofo francês Régis Debray e a psiquiatra brasileira Nise da Silveira, fundadora do Museu de Imagens do Inconsciente. O primeiro escreveu o livro Vida e morte da imagem; Nise da Silveira escreveu dois livros – Imagens do Inconsciente e O Mundo das Imagens. A partir de textos destes livros procura-se estabelecer uma afinidade entre ambos ao abordar a leitura de imagens como uma tentativa de transcender-lhes a representação física e formal.
其他摘要：The text is a transcription of a lecture given at the 1st National Biennial of Images in Science, Art, Technology,
Education and Culture. It brings a reflection on images and possibilities of reading them, based on texts of the
French philosopher Régis Debray and the Brazilian psychiatrist Nise da Silveira, founder of the Museum of
Images from the Unconscious. On this subject, the first one wrote the book Life and Death of the Image, and
Nise da Silveira wrote the books Images from the Unconscious and The World of Images. From these texts
we try to establish an affinity of thought between both, in approaching the reading of images as an attempt to
transcend their physical and formal representation.
