摘要：Tendo em vista a significativa presença de grupos indígenas no município de Dourados/MS, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo principal verificar em que medida é possível encontrar aspectos da cultura indígena nos nomes de ruas da área urbana do município, sobretudo no que se refere à origem linguística dos topônimos. Além disso, procuramos verificar também quais as causas motivacionais mais recorrentes nesses topônimos. Para coleta e análise dos dados que constituíram o corpus da pesquisa, fundamentamo-nos nos pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos de Dick (1990, 1992, 1996). Como exemplo do que constatamos com a pesquisa, citamos o fato de que vocábulos de origem indígena e outras referências aos grupos indígenas aparecem em um pequeno percentual da toponímia urbana.
其他摘要：Given the significant presence of indigenous groups in the municipality of Dourados/MS, this research aimed to determine to what extent it is possible to find aspects of the indigenous culture in the street names of the urban area of the municipality, especially concerning the linguistic origin of toponyms. In addition, we tried to verify which motivational causes are more frequent in those toponyms. To collect and analyze data that constituted the corpus of this research, we based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Dick (1990, 1992). As an example of what we found with the research, we can cite the fact that words of indigenous origin and other references to indigenous groups appear in a small percentage of the urban toponymy.
