摘要：O presente estudo visa apresentar algumas reflexões sobre o perfil do gestor público esportivo, investigando sua atuação e sua competência, bem como se dá sua condução na elaboração, implementação e administração das políticas de esporte e lazer na cidade. Para tanto a produção do estudo valeu-se de análise comparativa de textos, embasados por uma análise crítica dos mesmos. Identificou-se que o gestor esportivo deve dominar um conjunto de habilidades, competências e responsabilidade, que compreendem administração de eventos, de recursos humanos, de marketing, de relações públicas, habilidades em captação e supervisão de recursos humanos, liderança, motivação e um bom relacionamento com seus subordinados, para a formulação e implementação das políticas públicas de esporte. Observou-se ainda, que esta área de atuação deve ser ocupada por profissionais da educação física, para que sejam alcançados os objetivos e metas diante do campo das políticas públicas de esporte e lazer, que devem ser inclusivas na perspectiva de participação da comunidade, onde a mesma necessita ser, subsidiada pelos conhecimentos técnico-científicos de sua esfera de atuação. Visualizam-se produções científicas no assunto, numa crescente em nosso país, legitimando a atuação do profissional, contribuindo para a evolução e formação continuada. ABSTRACT. Considerations about the professional of physical education with a focus on public management of sports . The present study aims to present some reflections on the profile of the public sports manager, investigating their performance and their competence, as well as conducting their work in the elaboration, implementation and administration of sports and leisure policies in the city. For this, the production of the study was based on a comparative analysis of texts, based on a critical analysis of them. It was identified that the sports manager must master a set of skills, competencies and responsibility, which include event management, human resources, marketing, public relations, skills in capturing and supervising human resources, leadership, motivation and a good Relationship with their subordinates, for the formulation and implementation of public sports policies. It was also observed that this area of activity should be occupied by physical education professionals, in order to achieve the objectives and goals in the field of public policies for sports and leisure, which should be inclusive in the perspective of community participation, where It needs to be subsidized by the technical-scientific knowledge of its sphere of action. Scientific productions in the subject are seen, in a growing one in our country, legitimating the performance of the professional, contributing to the evolution and continuous formation.
