摘要：O artigo procura problematizar as representações sobre o esporte dos trabalhadores voluntários do Programa Escola Aberta de Novo Hamburgo. Faz relatos a respeito dos aspectos metodológicos e posteriormente reflete sobre dois temas centrais o da importância do esporte para o programa e para a sociedade. Levanta consenso a respeito da hegemonia do esporte no programa mas aponta para diferentes representações sobre os aspectos benéficos do esporte.
其他摘要：The paper problematizes representations about the sport of volunteers Program Open School of Novo Hamburgo. Makes reports regarding the methodological aspects and then reflects on two central themes of the importance of sports to the program and to society. Arise consensus about the hegemony of the sport in the program but points to different representations of the beneficial aspects of the sport.
