摘要：Descartes comprendió que son las pasiones las que mueven en el mundo. Su sueño fue pensar que podrían ser gobernadas por la razón. Lejos de analizar las pasiones, al modo de la Teología de la época, la mirada de Descartes es la de un antropólogo que trata primero de definir y después de describir su complejo mecanismo. Le interesa su funcionamiento y su organización mecánica, pues el control de las pasiones debe brotar del interior propio individuo. Una muestra del papel que la razón desempeña en el control de las pasiones, se ilustra en el análisis que Descartes hace de la piedad o compasión. Descartes insiste en que hay que actuar sólo después de haber discernido racionalmente, de ahí que en el caso de la compasión, se alinee con los críticos de este sentimiento que contará con Nietzsche como su más feroz portavoz.
其他摘要：Descartes understood that passions move the world. His dream was for passions to be governed by reason. Far from analyzing passions the way contemporary theology does, Descartes’ approach is like that of an anthropologist, who first defines and then describes their complex mechanism. He is interested in their operation and in their mechanical organization, since the control of passions must spring from the interior of every man. An example of the role played by reason in the control of passions is illustrated throughout Descartes’ analysis of piety and compassion. He insists on acting only after having made distinctions in a rational way. In this sense, as far as compassion is concerned, he shares the same point of view of the critics of this feeling, like Nietzsche who is its most fierce spokesman.
